The Code of Conduct
From an early age, we all learn certain ways of interacting with others. These rules and norms help make our personal environments safe and liveable. The same applies to the music sector, where both written and unwritten standards of behaviour contribute to a safe and inclusive working environment.
To help prevent inappropriate and transgressive behaviour, we have brought together the most important principles in our Code of Conduct, consisting of six core guidelines. The Code is intended as a practical tool that encourages critical reflection and offers guidance in working together towards a safe, inclusive, and future-proof music sector.

Speak to each other
I treat everyone equally, regardless of sex, gender expression, skin color, age, social, regional, or cultural background, education level, body type, ability, or other personal characteristic.

No discrimination
I will not engage in any form of physical and/or verbal harassment, including unwanted or uninvited behavior of a sexual or discriminatory nature, that makes anyone feel offended, humiliated, or intimidated.

Open and transparent
I realize that I must and can contribute to an open and transparent working environment and I do my best to be an ally for anyone who struggles with feelings of insecurity.

Safe and valued
I strive to contribute to a working environment in which everyone feels safe and valued, and in which everyone's qualities and talents can be optimally utilized.

Diversity and inclusion
I am aware that diversity and inclusion are among the core values of our sector.

Equal treatment
If I notice that a colleague, relative or bystander is a victim of inappropriate behavior, I will not leave it undiscussed.
