For safety and inclusion in the music industry
Taskforce GO! aims to create a safe working environment for everyone working in the Dutch music industry. We are committed to a sector where everyone's talent can flourish, everyone's boundaries are respected, and everyone has the space to be themselves, regardless of sex, gender expression, ethnicity, cultural background, age, or other factors.
Our Services
Tackling the root causes of transgressive behaviour in the music industry.
In early 2022, the music industry was confronted with stories of inappropriate behavior. The BOOS broadcast of "This is The Voice" was followed by an open letter from thirty female singers to the industry, which further devastated the industry.
Anne de Jong, director of NVPI, took action and appointed two experts, Janice Deul and Eske van Egerschot, as project leaders to conduct a qualitative study within the music sector. The central questions: what's happening in the area of inappropriate behavior and who wants to be involved in tackling the root cause of the problem. This led to the creation of Taskforce GO!
